Mountquhanie Mansionhouse

Mountquhanie Mansionhouse graces a two thousand acre country estate near St Andrews. It is the home of Patrick and Louise Wedderburn and their family whose forebears have lived here and worked the estate for the past four centuries.

Standing in mature parkland, within sight of the ruins of the fifteenth century Mountquhanie Castle, "the new house", built in 1820 in the classic Georgian style, offers 21st century comfort along with those inestimable blessings of peace and privacy.

The Open Golf 2010

Mountquhanie Mansionhouse is being made available as an exclusive use destination for this year's Open Golf at St Andrews.

It is within easy reach of several world-class golf courses including the Old Course at St Andrews, Carnoustie and Gleneagles. The estate can offer shooting, riding, and fishing on the River Eden and many relaxing farm and woodland walks.

Guests will enjoy the gracious and comfortable drawing room, dining room and library. Eighteen bedrooms, each one unique, can sleep up to thirty. Most have en-suite or adjoining bathrooms.

A marquee can be sited on the croquet lawn to the west of the house for large social gatherings. Additional accommodation is available in luxury farmhouses and cottages on the estate.
